Description: Block 242 from the first row of the south side. It represents four kneeling personifications of various Hatshepsut's monuments and constructions: the first one is a Nile personification of the temple of Hatshepsut (ḫm ḏsr Jmn - Amun at a splendid shrine), partly carved on this block, half of the body and a monument's name are visible (the rest of the figure a monument's name are on block 179). The second figure is a Nile personification of Amun's pool/canal (ḫntj hn - foremost of the chest). The third figure is a Nile personification of Hatshepsut's palace (nn ʿr.j r.f - I will not move away from him). The last figure is a partly preserved Nile personification of another Hatshepsut's palace (full name not preserved). All figures are oriented towards the right.
-
Notes: the figure is most probably wrongly carved as a Nile (male) personification - it is thinner than standard Nile figures in this monument and the temple should be personified by a female figure.
