My work has been related to Hatshepsut all my professional life. Since 1999 I have been a member of the Polish-Egyptian Archaeological and Conservation Mission at Deir el-Bahari, where I work on two projects: the iconographic study of the Beautiful Feast of Djeser-Djeseru represented on the walls of the temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and the theoretical reconstruction of the temple built by Hatshepsut for her father, Thutmose I, fragments of which I re-discovered in the MMA 828 tomb in 2009. I am also about to finish, under the supervision of Professor Ewa Laskowska-Kusztal, my PhD thesis entitled “Sacred Landscape of Thebes during the reign of Hatshepsut. Royal building programme”. At the same time, I run a research project funded by the National Science Centre Poland called “Egyptian province from the Sinai to the First Cataract in the times of Queen Hatshepsut”. I also worked on drawings in Giza as a member of the Giza Plateau Mapping Project (2001), and in 2005 participated in the work of the Polish-Egyptian Mission at Pelusium (geodesic measurements, drawings). Since 2007 I have worked for the Institute of Mediterranean and Oriental Culture, Polish Academy of Sciences. In 2012 I was granted a scholarship for outstanding young scientists awarded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Apart from archaeology I am interested in old Polish weaving techniques and run a small home workshop.

I have been interested in ancient Egypt since my early childhood. I have been working in Egypt since 2011 for the Polish-Egyptian Archaeological and Conservation Mission at Deir el-Bahari, at first in the temple of Thutmose III and later, since 2014, also in the temple of Hatshepsut. Right now I am working on the documentation of the Southern Middle Portico of Hatshepsut’s temple (the so-called Punt Portico) which is connected to the PhD-thesis which I prepare under the co-direction of Professor Rafał Koliński (Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań) and Professor Pierre Tallet (Université Paris-Sorbonne), entitled “Les expéditions au pays de Pount sous la XVIIIe dynastie égyptienne”. Apart from that, I work on ancient Egyptian literature preparing the Polish translations of Egyptian literary masterpieces with a detailed Egyptological commentary. In 2011 I was also a trainee in the Department of Egyptian Antiquities in the Louvre Museum in Paris under the supervision of the late Michel Baud.
