End of the project 'The Southern Room of Amun in the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. Part 2"

On 28 February 2025, the project entitled. ‘The Southern Room of Amun in the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari Part. 2’ (MONOG/SP/0092/2023/01), carried out by the Institute of Mediterranean and Oriental Cultures of the Polish Academy of Sciences since 2023. The project was funded by the Ministry of Education and Science under the “Doskonała Nauka II” programme.
 
The aim of the project was to publish a monograph by Dr Katarzyna Kapiec entitled. ‘The Southern Room of Amun in the Temple of Hatshepsut Vol. 2 Studies of Decoration and Ritual Function’. The book is the second volume of a comprehensive study of the Southern Room of Amun in the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. The second part of the study of Amon's South Room includes an analysis of the scenes that make up the decoration programme of the studied hall, which determine its function.
