rock shrine
The shrine is situated as the third in a row of seven shrines hewn in the same cliff, 2.57m south of shrine 13 and at the same level. As other shrines it faces the river.
Shrine 14 was cut in the rock and differs from others, it has only a single room with a flat undecorated ceiling and no niche for a statue in the rear wall. The room measures approximately 2.5m of width and 2m of depth and is 1.84m high. The north wall suffered as a doorway was cut through it into the neighbouring shrine 13. Inner walls of the shrine were left undecorated and the north-west corner seems to be unfinished. The shrine was prepared for Nehesy, the Overseer of What Is Sealed.
