[HatOb_1159] Scarab of Hatshepsut

Scarab with an inscription on the base containg two cartouches with Hatshepsut's prenomen. Between cartouches there is a symbol of smȝ-tȝ.wj. Above it there is an outstretched falcon figure, holding shen-symbols in its claws. Whole composition is oriented vetically on the scarab.

Excavated by the H.E. Winlock (Metropolitan Museum of Art) in the temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari in 1926-1927.
