[HatOb_1157] Scarab of Hatshepsut

Scarab with an inscription on the base containing the prenomen of Hatshepsut and epithet "Lord of Two Lands". Inscription is flanked with figures of falcon with outstretched wings in protective gesture. Inscritpion is oriented vertcially, but whole composition is oriented horizontally on the scarab.

Excavated by the H.E. Winlock (Metropolitan Museum of Art) in the temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari in 1926-1927.
