The torso of the statue was found in 1869, acquired in Egypt by Prince Hendrik of the Netherlands and donated by the Queen-Mother Emma to the Museum in 1928. It consists a part of the statue stored in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York 29.3.3. In 1998 both parts were rejoined and the statue travels between the two Museums.
