Small calcite lid and vase with conical body and flat base. Traces of oil on the surface. Flat base, ledged rim, cylindrical body and concave neck. Two inscriptions in the incised hieroglyphs:

1. On the lid, vertical: Good God, Maat-ka-Ra, may she live (nṯr nfr Mȝʿ.t-kȝ-Rʿʿnḫ.tj)

2. On the body of the vase, arranged in two columns: 1. Good God, Maat-ka-Ra, may she live, 2. beloved of Amun of Djeser-Djeseru (1. nṯr nfr Mȝʿ.t-kȝ-Rʿʿnḫ.tj 2. mrjj.t Jmn m Ḏ​sr-ḏsrw)

 

Excavated by E. Naville (Egypt Exploration Fund) in the temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari in 1894-1895.

Museum object
M. Serpico has certain doubts about the provencance of this jar from Deir el-Bahari Temple (Serpico 2011: 847).
