Scarab made of green glazed steatite. Type 4[1] - back with marked prothorax and elytra. On the base there is an incised composition depicting sphinx in shuti crown in the middle, on the right there is a cartouche with prenomen of Thutmose III (Menkheperra), on the left there is a falcon with wings outstreched in protective gesture and his claws are pulled out towards sphinx. Composition is oriented horizontally on the scarab. Length of the scarab is 1.8cm.

Excavated by the H.E. Winlock (Metropolitan Museum of Art) in the temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari in 1926-1927. Gained by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1927 in the division of finds (Rogers Fund).
